El libre acceso a la colección bibliográfica permite la búsqueda de documentos de una manera individual. El personal de la biblioteca estará en todo momento a su disposición para cualquier necesidad informativa y búsqueda de información que le pueda surgir.

La biblioteca se encuentra ordenada siguiendo la clasificación de la CDU (Clasificación Decimal Universal), la cual permite que los documentos estén agrupados por materias.

Las búsquedas se realizan mediante el uso del catálogo de la biblioteca. El personal bibliotecario resolverá las dudas que surjan sobre las necesidades y recuperación de la información.

Los bibliotecarios se encargarán de colocar los documentos que hayan sido consultados en sala. Se ruega a los usuarios que dejen éstos en los carros, o en las estanterías y mesas señalizadas para tal propósito.

Área de investigadores: Las dos últimas mesas del nuevo espacio serán para uso exclusivo de los profesores.

El material del fondo que no esté disponible en libre acceso, podrá seguir consultándose en sala.

We are please to inform you that, from January 2009, IE University Library, to make a better use of the collection, has the free access collection at user’s disposal.

Free Access to the library's collection of materials allows users to search for documents at an individual level. Library staff will be at your disposal at every moment with information for any research query that may arise.

The library is organized according to the UDC (Universal Decimal Classification), which allows documents to be organized according to a variety of subjects.

Searches are carried out via the library's catalog. The library personnel will resolve any doubts which arise concerning the recovery of information and any other needs.

Librarians will be in charge of organizing those reading materials that have been looked up in the library. Users are kindly requested they leave their reading materials in the carts, or on the shelves and tables appointed for this purpose.

Area for Researchers: The last two tables in the new area are designated for the exclusive use of professors.

Those reading materials that are not freely accessible will still be available for readers to look up in the library.

The library personnel will be available at all times for any questions or needs from users.

The IE Business School Library Foundation and Alimarket Publications have reached an agreement according to which this publishing house will facilitate a 100 euros voucher to all the graduate students of IE Business School upon request. They will be able to access the information of Alimarket on-line without any cost while they are studing at IE Business School.

Students who would like to obtain their voucher, need to request it from Alimarket Publications through an e-mail to cliente@alimarket.es identifying themselves as students of IE. After confirming with IE their student status, the voucher will be facilitated to them on-line.

Partiendo de una interfaz de búsqueda como página principal, se ofrece la posibilidad de realizar búsquedas personalizadas mediante las diferentes herramientas que les proporciona la biblioteca: e-Bases de Datos, Catálogos del IE, e-Revistas, e-Libros y Metabuscador. Dentro de cada búsqueda especializada, en cada una de dichas herramientas, se podrá optar entre búsqueda sencilla y avanzada, así como determinar los campos sobre los que se quiera realizar dicha consulta: autor, materia, título, etc.

A su vez, se han hecho visibles nuevos recursos y herramientas para nuestros investigadores de manera que, para facilitar el acceso de los mismos, los podrán encontrar al abrir el sitio web. Por último, se han añadido enlaces directos relevantes dentro de la sección Top Links, con el propósito de facilitar la accesibilidad de los mismos a nuestros usuarios. Con éste cambio en la visibilidad y usabilidad del sitio web, se pretende dar un valor añadido a los productos y recursos que hasta ahora se ofrecían desde la biblioteca, en aras a lograr la excelencia en la gestión del servicio.

On behalf of the Library at the IE Foundation, we would like to inform you of the new interface on the Library's web page, and the changes applied to the latter.

This new research interface has become the library's main web page, which allows users the possibility of making personalized searches with the different tools offered by the library such as e-Databases, IE Catalogues, e-Journals, e-Books and a Meta-search engine. In addition, concerning specialized searches, each of the tools will give users the opportunity to choose between making a simple search or an advanced one, and also to determine the fields in which to carry out their research: author, subjects, title, etc.

These new resources and tools may be accessed directly from the Library's web site. Finally, relevant direct links have been added into the Top Links section, in order to make their access easier to all users.These changes on the usage and visibility of the web site are intended to add greater value to the products and resources offered in the library, so as to increase the excellence of this service.

La Biblioteca IE junto con la Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología, FECYT, han organizado unas jornadas para la Formación de Formadores en el uso de la Web of Knowledge

Dichas jornadas se han llevado a cabo los días 20 y 21 de octubre de 2008, y han participado 84 bibliotecarios de distintas universidades españolas. Se han tratado dudas sobre el manejo de herramientas como Science Citation Index, Social Science Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index, ISI Proceedings, Journal Citation Reports, ISI Essential Science Indicators y Current Contents Connect, EndNOte Web y se han presentado las últimas novedades implementadas en el portal Web of Knowledge. Todo con el propósito de poder ayudar a los investigadores de nuestros centros a conseguir información imprescindible desde el portal de Web of Knowledge , de una forma rápida y exhaustiva.

IE Library and Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología, FECYT, organized an event for Training the Trainers in the use of Web of Knowledge.

The event took place the 20th and 21st October 2008 and 84 librarians from different Spanish universities participated. Doubts on the management of tools such as Science Citation Index, Social Science Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index, ISI Proceedings, Journal Citation Reports, ISI Essential Science Indicators and Current Contents Connect, EndNOte Web were argued about, and last news on the Web of Knowledge portal were introduced. The aim of the proposal is to help our researchers to get essential information from the Web of Knowledge portal, in an exhaustive and easy way

PsycARTICLES is a database of full-text articles specialize in subject of psychology in general. It covers more than 45.000 articles published by specialize magazines such as the American Psychological Association (APA), the APA Educational Publishing Foundation, the Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe & Huber. La Biblioteca de IE Universidad ha adquirido un nuevo recurso electrónico, PILOT Database, que ya está disponible. A continuación encontrarán una descripción de sus contenidos:

PILOT es una base de datos bibliográfica, una lista de publicaciones dedicada a cubrir toda la literatura internacional en torno al campo del Stress Traumático, incluyendo, sin limitaciones disciplinarias, lingüísticas o geográficas, referencias que abarcan todo lo relacionado con PTSD y otros temas de salud mental post traumática. PILOTS ofrece un servicio sencillo al usuario particular, al tiempo que una cobertura retrospectiva. PILOTS no se centra únicamente en la cobertura de artículos de prensa especializados, sino en todos los artículos relevantes para PTSD sin importar su origen, ofreciendo información relevante sobre libros y panfletos dedicados al stress traumático así como capítulos específicos sobre los libros de relevancia que no puedan ser indexados de forma completa.

The IE University has purchased a new electronical resourse PILOT Database, that is now available. Next you will find a description of its contents:

PILOT is a bibliographical database covering Published International Literature On Traumatic Stress, and include citations to all literature on PSTD and other mental-health sequelae of traumatic events, without disciplinary, linguistic, or geographical limitations, and to offer both current and retrospective coverage. PILOTS attempt to cover all journal articles relevant to PTSD and other forms of traumatic stress, wathever their origin. PILOTS also includes references to books and pamphlets on traumatic stress and also include citations to relevant individual chapters of books even when the book as a whole would not be indexed in PILOTS.

Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals es una base de datos que ofrece un completo listado de artículos de revistas sobre arquitectura y diseño de Europa, Asia, América Latina y Australia, incluyendo descripciones e índices bibliográficos de temas de la historia y la práctica de la arquitectura, arquitectura del paisaje, urbanismo, preservación histórica, diseño interior y decoración, entre otros. El índice de Avery contiene más de 440.000 registros de revistas de todo el mundo, no sólo académicas, sino también de asociaciones profesionales. The IE Foundation Library has purchased the following electronic resource:

The Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals database offers a comprehensive listing of journal articles on architecture and design, including bibliographic descriptions on subjects such as the history and practice of architecture, landscape architecture, city planning, historic preservation, and interior design and decoration. It contains more than 440,000 thousand entries. These include not only scholarly and popular periodical literature, but also publications of professional associations, American state and regional periodicals, and the major serials on architecture and design of Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Australia. Dates of coverage: 1934 - current, with selective coverage back to 1741.

In addition, it offers the possibility of consulting most of the full text mementos through each Nautis, a tool to search legal information that directly link the content of the mementos with the legislation, jurisprudence, administrative doctrine and normative that bases them.

IE library has improved the structure and the contents of its section How to cite bibliography, created to indicate how to elaborate and present bibliographical references and citations in research works, working papers, articles or class works. Now consulting this section is simpler and much more intuitive: the new direct access saves time in searching to the user, who gets the information quickly.

Communication & Mass Media Complete>Communication & Mass Media Complete is an article database that incorporates the contents of CommSearch and Mass Media Articles Index along with numerous other journals on the fields of communication and mass media. CMMC offers cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts for over 300 journals, and selected coverage of over 100 more, for a combined coverage of over 400 titles. Furthermore, this database includes full text for nearly 200 journals. Many major journals have indexing, abstracts, PDFs and searchable citations from their first issues to the present (dating as far back as 1915).

For more than three years, Mr. Munguía has been working as person in charge of the Cervantes Institute library in Tel Aviv. EBSCOhost databases are going to change their interface into EBSCOhost 2.0, a new interface that will become available through IE Virtual Library from July 2008. EBSCOhost 2.0 offers a new search experience, with the built-in flexibility to provide individual user customization options and with powerful features in a simple, intuitive design:

• Basic Search Screen 2.0: basic searching with the simple-to-use Basic Search screen.
• Result List 2.0: EBSCOhost features a Result List loaded with user-customization features
• Visual Search 2.0: EBSCO's Visual Search option provides users with a graphically rich alternative to the Basic or Advanced Search screens
• Advanced Search Screen 2.0: experienced researchers turn to the EBSCOhost Advanced Search screen for sophisticated functionality and features

The IE Business School Foundation Library and Aranzadi have extended the agreement under which this publisher has donated 30 concurrent licenses for access to Westlaw.es database instead of 5 licenses as we had so far. This resource is available through either the library Website or online campus.
